About Us
Background
Peak Medical Ltd began as a medical product division of UCI Healthcare Ltd in 2005. Initially a sole UK distributor for EuroTec ostomy products and accessories, the company later introduced its UltraSmooth hydrophilic coated range of urinary catheters for intermittent self catheterisation, and quickly became renowned in the ostomy and urology marketplaces for its superior products, knowledge and clinical expertise.
In 2009 the company launched Inspirall, an innovative ambulatory, post-operative acute pain management system. Through constant research and development, addressing safety issues such as potential misconnections, latex-free components and variable flow rates, the range of devices available has given surgeons and their patients better choices in managing post-operative pain.
At the beginning of 2011, the new PainKwell ® range was launched. In collaboration with the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and surgeons and staff at the Leeds Musculoskeletal Biomedical Research Unit at Chapel Allerton Hospital, Peak Medical can deliver what we consider to be the most innovative, advanced system for managing post-operative pain following hip and knee surgery.
